Community School Athetic Conference (CSAC)

In the fall of of 2008 CSAC (Community School Athletic Conference) was formed by Dan Reese (Winterfield Venture Academy), Rick Brown (Maritime Academy), Anna Gentle (Horizon Science Academy), Melissa Szczepaniak (Bennett Venture Academy), and Greg Sauter (New Bedford Academy). The intent was to create an athletic league for like minded schools. Schools who found themselves scrambling to set up games, finding officials, and shut out from the continuity and ease of scheduling that established conferences have. In the past three years the CSAC has expanded not only its board, adding Derek Eddings (TIA), Beth Dennis (Bennett Venture Academy) and Belinda Hallinan (Winterfield Academy), but also building to more than 18 local middle schools and 5 high schools! The vision we had is quickly becoming a reality.

Our Mission Statement

It is the goal of the conference to promote positive incentives for the student athlete. To create and maintain a league of common schools to foster a safe environment for competitive athletics in OHSAA recognized sports. The goal is to have the Board of Directors to be the governing body for the member schools and to have the league become self-sustaining.
